Day 2 - Disqualified Views Vaporized

Updated: Apr 15, 2021

I have a God-assigned task purposed and anointed by Him to accomplish. How dare I allow contaminated views or conditions imposed by others to suffocate my faith, immobilize my abilities, and undermine my peace.

Jonah allowed his perception spawned by the views of others to conceive hatred in his heart toward the people of Nineveh. It smothered his faith toward understanding the reason God wanted to save an unrighteous people. Furthermore, it paralyzed his ability to pursue his assignment, compromising the peace that God had for him, the Ninevites, and his people, the Israelites.

When we embark on a task for the Lord that takes us to a state of uneasiness, His presence goes with us, and He gives us rest (Exodus 33:14). Furthermore, He births within us the boldness and confidence needed to endure each step of the task (Hebrews10:19-22).

During the journey of self-imposed delays, we begin to understand the foundation of the assignment is God’s love for every one (2 Peter 3:9). The real test exposes the pureness of the love (1 Timothy 1:5) that lies within our hearts.

As we continually seek guidance, His faithfulness diffuses the unwarranted complexity and confusion, stalking our minds while we execute our task. His tender loving mercies redeem our lives from destruction, makes room for repentance when we return to God (2 Chronicles 30:9), overflows us with abounding goodness and truth (Exodus 34:6), and fills us with peace wherever He sends us.

Dear Lord, I praise You for disinfecting my thoughts toward those You love and desire to have redemption in the blood of Jesus. May the peace of mind and fortress of confidence I prayerfully seek when external forces weaken my spirit, vaporize, and affirm what I am doing is in your will and for your glory. Amen
